Dollar Life App Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Dollar Life mobile app for iPhone (the "App"; also called Dollar Life Duel on our website), provided by Dollar Life, LLC ("Dollar Life," "we," "us," or "our"), a company based in the State of Texas. Our website, dollarlifeclub.com, and our text messaging program are covered separately by our Terms of Service. By creating an account or using the App you agree to these Terms and to our App Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Who Can Use the App

The App is for people who are 18 years of age or older. By using it you confirm that you are at least 18 and that you can enter into a binding agreement. If you are under 18, you may not create an account or use the App.

2. Your Account

  • You sign in with your mobile phone number. When you ask for a code, by tapping Text Me a Code on the sign-in screen (or Text a Code to Verify when you change your number), we send one text message with a one-time verification code (1 message per request) to confirm the number is yours. We never send a code you did not request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help, or email support@dollarlifeclub.com. Every text comes from the same number, so STOP stops all texts from it, including sign-in codes; reply START to receive codes again. Sign-in codes are not marketing, and you never need to agree to marketing texts to sign in or use the App. See our Text Messaging page for the exact wording and sample messages.
  • You choose a username when you first sign in. Keep your details accurate and up to date.
  • One person, one account. Do not share your account or your verification codes.
  • You are responsible for everything that happens on your account. Tell us promptly at support@dollarlifeclub.com if you think it has been used without your permission.

3. How Duels Work

A duel is a head-to-head match between two real players in a short skill-based game. Before a duel, each player puts up the same number of Duel Coins as a stake. The result is based on each player's measured performance in the game. It is checked and decided by our servers, and the winner receives the pot.

  • Leaving a duel in progress, or failing to finish it, can count as a forfeit, and a forfeited stake is lost.
  • We may cancel a match and return stakes if it was affected by a technical fault, or void it and remove any gains if it involved cheating or abuse.
  • Games, stakes, features and rules can change, and some games may be added, paused or removed at any time. Our decision on the result of a match is final, to the extent the law allows.

4. Duel Coins

Duel Coins are a virtual in-app currency that you use only inside the App. They are not money and have no cash value. They cannot be redeemed for cash, prizes or anything else of value, and they cannot be sold, traded or transferred outside the App. We do not pay out money for coins or for winning a duel.

  • You can receive Duel Coins as a starting balance, by winning duels, through the Dollar Life Pro subscription, through referral rewards, or by buying coin packs.
  • Duel Coins are a limited, revocable license to use a feature of the App, not property you own. We may adjust balances to fix errors, and remove coins obtained through cheating, fraud, exploits or reversed payments.
  • Purchases of Duel Coins are final and non-refundable except where the law or Apple's policies require otherwise. Unused coins are forfeited if your account is closed.

5. Purchases and Subscriptions

All purchases in the App are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. We do not receive your card details.

Dollar Life Pro is an auto-renewing monthly subscription that removes ads and adds a monthly allotment of Duel Coins, as described on the purchase screen, where you will also see the current price.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
  • The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period.
  • You can manage or cancel it at any time in Settings > your name > Subscriptions on your iPhone. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
  • Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

6. Ads

The App may show ads between matches. Ads are supplied by third-party advertising networks (currently Google AdMob) and we are not responsible for ad content or for sites and apps you reach through an ad. Dollar Life Pro removes ads. Our App Privacy Policy explains what data ads use and the choices you have, including the tracking prompt in iOS.

7. Friends, Contacts and Invites

Letting the App see your contacts is optional. If you allow it, we use phone numbers to find friends who already play. Invitations are sent from your own messaging app, and only to people you know who would welcome them. When a friend you invited joins, we may give both of you Duel Coins as a referral reward. Reward amounts and rules can change, and rewards can be withheld or removed if we find abuse, such as fake accounts or self-referrals.

8. Your Content and Conduct

Your username, avatar and any profile photo you upload are visible to other players. You give us a non-exclusive license to host and display them in the App. You confirm you have the right to use them. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You agree not to:

  • Use a name, photo or message that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, misleading, or that impersonates someone else or infringes someone's rights;
  • Harass, bully or threaten other players, or send unwanted challenges or invitations;
  • Cheat: use modified or automated apps, scripts, emulators or exploits, collude with another player to fix a result, or create multiple accounts to gain an advantage or referral rewards;
  • Buy, sell or trade accounts or Duel Coins for real money or other value;
  • Probe, scrape, reverse engineer, disrupt or try to gain unauthorized access to the App or our systems.

To report a player or content, email support@dollarlifeclub.com with the username and what happened. We review reports and may remove content or suspend or end accounts, with or without notice.

9. Device Permissions

The App may ask for permission to use your contacts (to find friends), camera or photos (for a profile picture), motion and fitness data (to measure distance in Day Trek), notifications, and tracking (for ads). Each is optional and you can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings. Some features will not work without the permission they need.

10. Intellectual Property

The App, including its games, design, names and logos, is owned by Dollar Life, LLC or its licensors. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use and under these Terms. All other rights are reserved.

11. Ending Your Account and Deleting Your Data

You can stop using the App at any time. You can delete your account in the App (Profile > Account settings) or by emailing support@dollarlifeclub.com. Deleting your account removes your profile and remaining Duel Coins, and we then delete or anonymize your personal data as described in the App Privacy Policy, except where we must keep some records for legal, security or fraud-prevention reasons. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription: cancel that in your Apple ID settings first. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or put others or the App at risk.

12. Apple App Store Terms

You and Dollar Life, LLC, not Apple, are the parties to these Terms. In addition, because you get the App from the Apple App Store:

  • Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the App unless these Terms say otherwise, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with the right to enforce them against you.
  • Dollar Life, LLC alone, not Apple, is responsible for the App, its content, maintenance and support, and for any claims about it, including product liability, legal compliance and intellectual property claims. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support.
  • If the App fails to meet a warranty that applies, you may tell Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price of the App (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App.
  • You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. embargo or designated a "terrorist-supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • You will follow applicable third-party terms (for example your wireless carrier's) when you use the App.

13. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that every match will be fair or complete, or that text messages and ads will be delivered without delay.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dollar Life, LLC and its owners, officers and service providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of Duel Coins, data or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100). Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dollar Life, LLC and its owners, officers and service providers from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the App, your content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third party's rights.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of- law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Texas, to the extent permitted by law.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version here with an updated "Last updated" date and, for material changes, tell you in the App. Using the App after changes take effect means you accept them.
